Erin Caves

Erin Caves was raised in Stockton, California, and completed his musical estudies at the Yale University School of Music and The Juilliard School.

His repertoire comprises roles such as Florestan (Fidelio), Don José (Carmen), Tiresias (Die Bassariden), Hans Schwalb (Mathis der Maler), Idomeneo, Hoffmann (Hoffmanns Erzählungen), German (Pique Dame), Sergej (Lady Macbeth of Mzensk), Eisenstein (Die Fledermaus), Narraboth (Salome), Bacchus (Ariadne auf Naxos), Giuseppe Hagenbach (La Wally), Sellem (The Rake’s Progress), Cavaradossi (Tosca) as well as Wagner roles such as Tristan, Erik, Stolzing, Siegmund, Siegfried, Loge and Parsifal.

Erin Caves has been guesting at the Vlaamse Opera Antwerp, the State Operas in Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Berlin, Hannover, at the Aalto Theatre Essen, the Deutschen Oper am Rhein, Komische Oper Berlin, Theater St. Gallen, Zurich Opera, an Volksoper Vienna, Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, Teatro Real Madrid as well as at the Teatro alla Scala.

On the concert platform highlights include Mahler´s Das Lied von der Erde, Beethoven 9th, 8 Romanze per Tenore e Orchestra (Verdi/Berio), Schmidt’s "Das Buch mit sieben Siegeln“ as well as Schnittke’s Faust Cantata opus 167, “Seid nüchtern und wachet”.
