Ever since Katja Beer made her debut as Isolde in Argentina in 2011 she has integrated parts of the dramatic soprano into her repertoire. Beer is a devoted fan of Wagner and Strauss operas' heroines. She is dedicated to learning new music and premiered in two modern operas in 2012, and in 2013 she contributed her voice to the music for the international film "The Physician".
A complete opera recording (with Katja Beer in the title role), and various other concerts and opera recordings have been released internationally. Katja Beer and Giora Feidman collaborated on the album release of "Schubert und jiddische Lieder" (Schubert and Yiddish Songs).
Katja Beer has collaborated with such conductors as H. Rilling, R. Chailly, K. Nagano, U. Schirmer, R. Mühlbach, F. Beermann and A. Perez.
In the past seasons the artist performed as Gerhilde in Wagner's "Walküre" at Staatstheater Nürnberg and at the Leipzig Opera, as Marcellina at the Hannover State Opera, she sang Salome at the Arts Center Seoul as well as the role of Leitmetzerin in "Rosenkavalier" at the Leipzig Opera.
