Jessie Tse is a young lyric coloratura soprano. Originally from Hong Kong, she relocated to London in 2012, where she started her vocal training with Amanda Roocroft. She completed her Master of Music at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in 2013. Previously trained at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama Opera Course, she is continuing her studies with Adrian Thompson.
Ms. Tse sang in Masterclasses with Thomas Allen, Ann Murray, Roger Vignoles, Barbara Frittoli and Catherine Foster. Her operatic appearances include Queen of the Night, Anna Reich, title role in Alcina, Gilda in Rigoletto, Adina in L’elisir d’amore, Adele in Die Fledermaus, Ariel in The Tempest, Héro in Béatrice et Benedict, Nannetta in Falstaff and Oscar in Un ballo in maschera.
In November 2016, she was awarded the 1st Prize in the Antonio Bertolini Competition in Milan, as well as two other special prizes: the Gitanilla Prize and the Leoncavallo Prize and also made her concert debut in Auditorium Gaber Pirelli. She returned to Milan in December, where she performed in Teatro Dal Verme and competed for the Grand Final Award with other winning instrumentalists.
