Denia Mazzola Gavazzeni

Denia Mazzola Gavazzeni, founder and president of "AB HARMONIAE ONLUS" association, is an Italian soprano and has been singing all over the world, performing over 174 operas, oratorios and concerts.

She sang in the major national and international theaters, such as: Teatro della Scala; Accademia S. Cecilia; Teatro comunale Florence; La Fenice; San Carlo; Teatro Massimo; Festpielhaus Salzburg; Deutsche Opera Berlin; Bregenz Festival; Frankfurt Opera; Vienna State Opera; Opera Zurich; Opera de Geneve; Montecarlo Theatre; Radio France Festival in Montpellier; Liceu de Barcelona, Massimo Theatre in Santiago de Chile; Houston Opera; Metropolitan Opera; Cape Town Opera; NHK Tokio among other.

She has a wide repertoire like the title roles in „Lucia di Lammermoor“, „Esclarmonde“, „Lucrezia Borgia“ or „Maria Stuarda“, Elvira (I puritani), Adina (L'elisir d'amore), Norina (Don Pasquale), Violetta (La traviata), Elisabetta (Roberto Devereux), Alaide (La straniera), Amelia (Un ballo in maschera), Abigaille (Nabucco) among others.  

In concerts she was singing Beethoven's „Missa solemnis“, Verdi's „Requiem“, Brahm's „Ein deutsches Requiem“, Berlioz' „L'enfance du Christ“, Händel's „Messiah“ or Mozart’s „Requiem“ and „Exsultate, Jubilate“.

Denia Mazzola has recorded several CDs and DVDs for Universal Music, Ricordi, Koch Schwann, WDR, ORF or SABC.
