Aigul Shamshidenova

Soprano Aigul Shamshidenova was born in 1991 in Kazakhstan and lives in Vienna, where she was studying at the ‘Konservatorium Wien Privatuniversität’. She was a student of well known professor Nadia Sharipov and attended Master classes with Yuly Khomenko, Natalie Dessay, Larisa Gergieva or Larisa Rudakova.

During her studies she has already been singing gala concerts in her home country Kazakhstan (Opera Abai) as well as performing in opera productions like „Le nozze di Figaro“, „The Magic Flute“ at the Odeon Theatre Vienna or „Suor Angelica’’ at the Akzent Theatre (Vienna).

As a concert singer she gave guest performances at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, at the St. Petersburg Philharmonic or at the Zhambyl Philharmonic in Almaty/Kazakhstan.

Aigul Shamshidenova was a Grand Prix winner in vocal category opera in the world championships of performing arts in Hollywood (Los Angeles), and is winner of the „Elena Obraztsova International Competition of Young Opera Singers“.

In April 2017 she will be singing again a gala concert in St. Petersburg.
