"Faust" at the Greek National Opera
Italian stage designer Alessandro Camera attended his studies at the „Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera“ in Milan. In a very short period of time he started drawing himself the set for operas all over the world.
He was creating the set designs for productions like "Attila" at the Teatro alla Scala di Milano and the San Francisco Opera, "Nabucco" at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, "I Capuleti e I Montecchi" and "I masnadieri" at La Fenice in Venice, "Falstaff" and "Rigoletto" at the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, "La traviata" and "Manon" at the Opera Lausanne, "Pique Dame" at the Thèatre du Capitole Toulouse, "Carmen" at the Finnsih National Opera as well as Bilbaos ABAO, "Salome" at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna, "Le nozze di Figaro", "Don Giovanni" and "Così fan tutte" at the Suntory Hall in Tokyo and further productions like "Il Tabarro", "Suor Angelica", "Der Rosenkavalier", "I Vespri siciliani", "Faust", "Gianni Schicchi, "Luisa Miller" or "Le Roi de Lahore".
Furthermore he was working at the Opera Houses in Monte Carlo, Oviedo, Prague, Seoul, Muscat, Budapest, Oslo, Vilnius, Athen or at the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona. He has also signed the sets for Drama Theatre and Musicals.
Alessandro Camera was working with directors like G. Deflo, G. Lavia, H. Brockhaus, A. Bernard, G. Santucci, S.Trespidi or R. Zanella. He received several awards as best set designer.
