Marc Reibel

Marc Reibel, born in Speyer (Germany) and raised in Ludwigshafen, presently holds the positions of conductor and head of musical preparation in the Landestheater Linz (Austria). He was studying piano with Prof. Barbara Fry at the State Music University of Mannheim and successfully completed his graduate degree including his concert exams. Later, parallel to finishing his degree he was accepted in the orchestral conducting class of Prof. Thomas Ungar at the State University of Stuttgart.

His repertoire encompasses just nearly 50 orchestral works in the Music Theater including numerous pieces from the symphonic and concert sector like Das Rheingold, Salome, Carmen, Tosca, Un ballo in maschera, Il trovatore, Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District, Le nozze di Figaro, Les contes d’Hoffmann, Madama Butterfly, La cenerentola, Dialogues des carmélites, Die Fledermaus, Land des Lächelns, Gräfin Mariza, West Side Story, Die Hexen von Eastwick, La Cage aux Folles, Hello, Dolly!, Der Nussknacker, Dornröschen among others. 

Concert tours and guest performances have led him so far to Switzerland, Hungary, Italy, France, and to Japan where in Nagoya he conducted Beethoven´s 9th Symphony numerous times. Besides working with the Bruckner Orchestra Linz he has also worked with the Stuttgart Philharmonic, the Wuerttemberg Philharmonic Reutlingen, the Baden-Baden Philharmonic and the Györ Philharmonic Orchestra.
