Kay Stiefermann's repertoire includes roles such as Don Giovanni, Guglielmo and Don Alfonso ("Così fan tutte"), Conte Almaviva ("Le nozze di Figaro"), Onegin ("Eugene Onegine"), Danilo ("The Merry Widow"), Eisenstein ("Die Fledermaus"), and Marcello ("La Bohème"). In recent years, German repertoire began to take a prominent place in his repertoire with roles like the title role in "The Flying Dutchman", Amfortas in "Parsifal", Kurwenal in "Tristan und Isolde", Simone in "Eine florentinische Tragödie", Gyges in "König Kandaules", Jochanaan in "Salome", Mandryka in "Arabella" and Don Pizarro in "Fidelio".
Guest engagements have taken him to, among other places, the Vienna Staatsoper, the Komische Oper Berlin, the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, the Ruhr Triennale, the Lincoln Center Festival in New York, the Teatro Regio Torino, the Vienna Volksoper, the Opéra National du Rhin, and the Nederlandse Opera in Amsterdam. Kay Stiefermann has already worked with conductors such as Barenboim, D., B. de Billy, M. Albrecht, U. Schirmer, K. Petrenko, K. Nagano and V. Gergiev.
Kay Stiefermann's artistic work is also focused on concert and oratorio areas. He has performed at the BBC Proms, the Oregon Bach Festival, the Music Festival in Stuttgart, at the Bruckner Festival Linz, at the Dresden Music Festival, and the Handel Festival in Halle, and sang under the baton of H. Rilling, M. Creed, R. Huber, E. Guttenberg, M. Haselboeck, or P. Herreweghe.
