The promising and young American soprano Jenna Siladie has already won the acclaim of the fastidious press in her NYC debut with Gotham Chamber Opera, being called "an ebullient soprano with great stage presence, who sparkled" (Wall Street Journal) while the New York Times called her "endearing" and "sweet voiced”. Her roles with the company include the leading roles of Popelka and Armande in a double bill production of Bohuslav Martinů's operas Veselohra na mostě and Alexandre Bis, and La Princesa in El gato con botas by Montsalvatge.
Ms. Jenna Siladie sang the roles of Iolanta, Lucia, Despina, Adina, Frasquita, Susanna, Léontine, Laurie Moss and Margery Campbell. Future operatic engagements include her company and role debut of Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi and Suor Genovieffa in Suor Angelica with Opera Company of Middlebury.
Jenna was also an Apprentice Artist at the prestigious Santa Fe Opera, where she sang the Soprano Soloist in Stravinsky's Le rossignol and covered the leading role of Soong Ching-Ling for the American premiere of Huang Ruo's Dr. Sun Yat-Sen. In 2014, Santa Fe Opera honored her with the Campbell Wachter Memorial Prize.
As a concert soloist, she has performed with the Carolina Philharmonic, Florida Lyric Opera, Vero Beach Opera, and Yale University. She has also appeared in Lieder recitals throughout at Heiligenkreuz Abbey and at Beethoven's residence in Baden, Austria.
